First Tee is committed to making golf more accessible for all families. Our chapters offer full scholarships and reduced-fee programming for participants who need financial assistance.
The standard registration fee for First Tee Life Skills is $105 per participant, per season. If you need financial aid, you can indicate this directly in the online registration process.

Applying for financial assistance is now built into our online registration system. Please follow the steps below:
Step 1: Register your child(ren) for the desired class by adding the selection to your cart.
Step 2: Proceed to checkout.
Step 3: Complete the registration information and answer the required questions. When you reach the Financial Aid page, check (X) that you would like to apply, answer the questions, and click Continue.
Step 4: Proceed to checkout and click Submit. Your application will be reviewed by First Tee – Greater San Antonio.
Other Financial Assistance Opportunities
AJGA ACE Grant
The American Junior Golf Association (AJGA) has a program in place, the Achievement Competitive Excellence ACE grant that helps juniors and their families afford to compete in their tournaments. The grant provides financial assistance to young men and women who aspire to earn a college golf scholarship through competitive junior golf.
Dick Harmon Participation Grant program
The goal of the Southern Texas PGA and PGA REACH Southern Texas is to introduce our area’s youngsters to the challenges and rewards of golf. Started by the Harmon Family in honor of Dick Harmon, PGA REACH Southern Texas has created the Dick Harmon Participation Grant program to help provide top-flight golf opportunities to young men and women regardless of financial resources.
Jacob Bradley Memorial Scholarship
The Jacob Bradley Memorial Scholarship is awarded to selected applicants to be used for tournament entry fees and/or memberships on the Texas Junior Golf Tour. Funds are awarded at 3 points during the year (early January, April, mid-August), and applicants are eligible to re-apply each cycle in a given year.
The U.S. National Development Program (USNDP) Grant
The U.S. National Development Program (USNDP) Grant is an annual reimbursement-based program for families with competitive junior golfers who demonstrate financial need and exceptional potential to progress through the USNDP pathway. Grants of up to $15,000 are awarded to selected families.
Junior Tour Scholarship
The PGA REACH Gateway Foundation provides opportunities for financial assistance to area junior golfers based on demonstrated need. Assistance may be applied to aid in costs associated with Gateway PGA Junior Tour or Junior Development Tour events based on need and available funds.
All Kids Play Grant
All Kids Play provides funding to families and communities who lack the resources to pay for youth sports. Grants are available to qualifying families with kids in grade K-12 and not-for-profit community-based recreational sports organizations in low income areas on a need and first-come, first served basis as funds are available.
Jess Claiborne Junior Golf Foundation Tournament Stipend
The Jess Claiborne Junior Golf Foundation Tournament Stipend assists players with expenses associated with a competition including transportation, lodging, meals, entry fees and caddie/cart and practice fees.
