Formerly known as Birdies for Charity®, Champions fore Charity is a fundraising program that provides participating charities and schools the opportunity to generate contributions through the Valero Texas Open. Champions fore Charity is a no-cost program that gives 100% of the funds raised back to the participating organizations, plus incentives including a 7% match. Funds are generated by soliciting donations from individuals and corporations.
Donors have the ability and flexibility to pay in advance or to be billed after the tournament. Donations are accepted from anywhere around the world and are tax deductible.
The 2020-21 fundraising campaign is presently underway and will conclude April 9, 2021.
Valero’s Fueling The Drive fore Champions Drawing
Twenty-five (25) lucky donors will be randomly drawn to each win a $100 Valero gas gift card compliments of Valero. Winners will be selected after the conclusion of the fundraising campaign which ends April 9. Tournament officials must have contact information for donor (Name, Phone and/or Email) in order for the donor to be notified and claim his/her prize.Guess The Champion Contest
Guess who the 2021 Valero Texas Open Champion will be for a chance to win a Stay & Play Gift Package to TPC San Antonio and the JW Marriott San Antonio Hill Country Resort & Spa. Participating donors who have provided an email address will receive an email from tournament officials allowing them to select from the player field who they believe will win the tournament. The winner will be drawn from those who correctly guessed the tournament champion and receive the grand prize, along with earning the benefiting charity a donation of $5,000. If more than one person correctly guesses, a drawing amongst those who guessed correctly will be conducted. If no one correctly guesses, a drawing among all donors will take place. Stay & Play Package includes:- Three (3) night stay at the JW Marriott San Antonio Hill Country Resort & Spa
- Breakfast for two (2) each morning
- Two (2) rounds of golf for two at TPC San Antonio
