Local Opportunities

Local opportunities are open to any participant who would like to sign up. These events are perfect for our young or beginner golfers to gain experience outside of class, build confidence on the course, and continue developing their skills in a fun, supportive environment.

Dick's House of Sport Back to School Party

Join First Tee – Greater San Antonio for a FREE Back-to-School Party in Live Oak on Friday, August 7 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. This event is open to all First Tee families and anyone interested in learning more about First Tee. Youth ages 10–18 will enjoy an afternoon of fun including golf simulators, batting cages, the rock-climbing wall, and golf baseball on the turf field, plus snacks, drinks, and music.

San Antonio City Junior Championship

Each year, First Tee – Greater San Antonio hosts the San Antonio Junior Championship at Brackenridge Park Golf Course! This premier junior event is open to golfers ages 12-18 in the San Antonio area.

Youth on Course

Youth on Course gives participants the chance to play real rounds of golf for just $5 at participating courses in and around San Antonio—and at courses nationwide. To have your $20 membership fee waived, sign up for the First Tee+ Membership.

South Texas PGA

The South Texas PGA Junior Golf program offers competitive tournaments for junior golfers ready to take the next step. Events are held in and around the San Antonio area, making it a great opportunity to gain tournament experience and continue developing skills.
