More Than a Golf Camp
Our Girls Golf camps teach more than just stance and swing. Led by female coaches and role models, each week-long camp is designed to empower and inspire girls on the golf course, and beyond. Girls practice real golf skills, take on fun themed challenges, get creative with hands-on activities, and walk away with confidence they’ll carry into the classroom and everyday life.
Every day looks a little different. One afternoon might be short game skills and putting challenges; another might include a craft, a game, or a surprise activity that has nothing to do with golf at all, and everything to do with having a great time. That’s the Girls Golf difference. We’re not your typical junior golf program.
Girls are encouraged to bring their own equipment, but clubs are provided for those who are new to the game. All skill levels are welcome — from total beginners to girls who have been playing for years.
About LPGA*USGA Girls Golf
First Tee of Greater San Antonio is proud to offer Girls Golf through our partnership with the LPGA Foundation and the United States Golf Association (USGA), both non-profit 501(c)(3) charitable organizations. LPGA*USGA Girls Golf is the only national junior golf program that specializes in providing girl-friendly environments where juniors can learn the game, and love it.
Founded in 1989 by a woman who wanted to share her love of golf with her two daughters, the program has grown into a community of more than 90,000 girls worldwide across 500+ sites. Research consistently shows that girls thrive in all-girl learning environments — spaces where they feel free to be themselves, take risks, and build real friendships. That’s exactly what Girls Golf creates.
Instruction is led by LPGA and PGA teaching professionals who are experts at taking girls from beginner to advanced players while making every step of the journey fun. Our goal is simple: help every girl fall in love with the game, and with herself.

What We Teach: The Five E’s of Girls Golf
Everything we do at camp is built around the Five E’s — a framework designed to develop the whole girl, not just her golf game. From building confidence to inspiring healthy habits, the Five E’s guide everything we teach.
Enrich — Girls deepen their understanding of the rules, history, and science of golf through our connection with the USGA. We go beyond the basics so girls walk away knowing and loving the game, not just playing it. Those who dream of competing in college or beyond are connected with the resources to get there.
Energize — We meet girls where they are and find their spark. Sometimes that means focused drills on the range; sometimes it means a golf fashion show, a pizza party, or a water balloon toss. We’re not afraid to put down the clubs and have a little fun — because an energized girl is an engaged girl.
Empower — Skilled instruction from LPGA and PGA professionals builds real competence on the course. And when a girl realizes what she’s capable of on the fairway, that confidence doesn’t stay there — it follows her into the classroom, her friendships, and everything she pursues.
Engage — Girls Golf is the only national youth program with a direct connection to players on the LPGA and Epson Tours. By connecting our girls with women who have made it to the highest level of the sport, we give them role models who show them exactly what’s possible.
Exercise — A round of golf is equivalent to a 5-mile walk or a 3.5-mile run. Golf is one of the few sports you can play and enjoy for a lifetime, and we want girls to discover that early. Beyond the game itself, we weave in fitness and nutrition education to inspire girls to lead active, healthy lives both on and off the course.
