Rebecca Castro: First Tee – Greater San Antonio Advanced PLAYer Participant

Tell me a little about yourself.
My name is Rebecca Castro and I’m heading into 5th grade next year, love to excel at Math, and play golf against my brother Sebastian when I win.

What is your age, what is your First Tee level, and how long have you been with the First Tee? 
I’m 10 years old, I’m an Advanced PLAYer, and been with the First Tee for 3 years.

What is your favorite accomplishment in golf so far?
My favorite accomplishment is winning 4 out of our 5 matches in our Sunday Tournaments.

What has your First Tee experience been?
I’ve built friendships with my girl teammates by playing tournaments together.

What are some activities you like to do outside of school?
Outside of school, I’m involved in Girls Scouts and love to work on crafts at home.

How did you get involved with the First Tee?
Ever since I was 4 years old, my father would try to teach me instead he rather get help from expert coaches so he found the First Tee for me.

Between school and your activities how does First Tee aid in your success?
First Tee has helped me become a leader at school helps me focus on activities at school.  I’m in a GT program and advance math which I believe First Tee influenced me to be more driven.

What are your future goals?
I’d like continue to play golf to get a scholarship and use that to become a Veterinarian.
