2026 San Antonio City Junior Championship

Join us for the 69th San Antonio Junior Championship at Brackenridge Park Golf Course! Open to golfers ages 12-18, this premier junior event will take place June 23-25, 2026.

Eligibility: Any boy or girl residing in Bexar, Comal, Guadalupe, Kendall, Kerr, Wilson, Medina, Atascosa, or Bandera counties for a minimum of three months prior to the Championship, who has not reached their 19th birthday on or before June 23, 2026. Those players who have graduated from high school may only play the season directly following high school graduation, regardless of age. A senior in high school who turns 19 on or after January 2 of his/her senior year is eligible to participate for the duration of that year, provided he/she does not start college. Any junior who has graduated from high school and enrolled in college is not eligible to play in the Junior Championship. Active Duty Military dependents are exempt from the three-month residency requirement.

Entry Fee:

12-14 division – $175 for two 18-hole rounds at Brackenridge Park, Range balls at The First Tee & a Tee Gift
15-18 division – $215 for three 18-hole rounds at Brackenridge Park, Range balls at The First Tee & a Tee Gift

Starting Times: 7:00 am starting times for all rounds @ Brackenridge Park Golf Course.

Awards Ceremony:

Wednesday, June 24^th – immediately following play at Brackenridge Park Golf Course for Boys & Girls 12-14 age divisions.

Thursday, June 25^th – immediately following play at Brackenridge Park Golf Course for Boys & Girls 15-18 age divisions.

Rules and Regulations:

Competition will be in accordance with the USGA Rules of Golf.
Any boy or girl 12 years of age or older may declare for the Championship Division provided he or she does so before June 14, 2026, and is approved by the committee.
Appropriate golf attire is required during competition. Shirts must have collars. Tank tops, jeans, and short-shorts are not permitted.
Caddies are NOT permitted

The Boys & Girls 15-18 Divisions are limited to the first 72 players, combined.

Late entries will be admitted on a space available basis only.

Due to certain incurred expenses, there will be no refunds after the deadline.

Players withdrawing before the deadline are subject to a $30.00 administration fee.

Code of Conduct:

Players are to observe proper golf etiquette at all times. Any abuse or disrespect of fellow competitors, officials, spectators, employees of the host facility, or other persons conducting or attending a San Antonio Junior Championship rounds for disqualification from the event, and possible rejection of entry for future Junior Championship events. Such abuse may be verbal or physical or threat there of and includes but is not limited to:

The use of obscene language
Physical damage to property or equipment including that of the host facility
Being under the influence of alcohol or controlled substances during a competitive round

APPROVAL AND CONSENT BY PARENT OR GUARDIAN IN CASE OF EMERGENCY:

By registering for the San Antonio Junior Championship, As a parent or guardian of the applicant, you certify the facts as stated in this entry form and attest that you are familiar with your child’s plans to participate and that he/she does so with your approval. You further certify that, in the event that emergency medical care needs to be administered to the registered applicant and the below mentioned person cannot be contacted, the required parental consent may be given by an authorized member of First Tee – Greater San Antonio. You hereby release First Tee – Greater San Antonio, the Municipal Golf Association-San Antonio, their boards of directors, staff, officers, volunteers, as well as any agents, and officials from any and all liability, accidents, or injuries sustained by the applicant or parent/guardian in connection with the San Antonio Junior Championship.

Photo approval and consent: From time to time, we use photos in newsletters, brochures, and on the website. By registering for the San Antonio Junior Championship, you release First Tee – Greater San Antonio from any damages that might result from the use of such photographs. There is no intention by FTGSA or its agents to exploit or harm any child. You do hereby FTSGA, its board of directors, parent/guardian in connection with the Junior Championship.
